At least 30 bandits have been killed and one injured as rival bandit groups engaged in a bloody clash Zamfara, according to DailyPost.
The incident happened precisely at the Kawaya community of Anka Local Government in Zamfara State.
Recall that several bandits sustained various degrees of injuries during the clash between the groups.
According to one of the villagers, Usman Abubakar, the clash erupted as a result of cattle rustling by the bandits.
“We are very happy as the bandits are now killing themselves. This may lead to the end of banditry in the area,” he said.
He further stated that since the clash between the bandits started, the village has become very calm, noting that the bandits have been terrorizing the area for years.
It was gathered that the weekend battle between the rival bandit groups is the latest in the state.
However, both the state government and the security agencies have not made any official statement as of the time of filing this report.
