Nigerian authorities have arrested Bashir Hadeja for treason, gun-running, and other transnational crimes._

Hadeja, known for money laundering and illegal activities, was detained following reports of smuggling weapons and stolen gold from Libya. He is accused of aiding terrorism, blackmailing officials, and sponsoring violence, including the attack on Jigawa APC headquarters and protests in several cities.

He was found with incriminating documents, including an international passport belonging to Republic of Vanuatu , and a video showing gold bars believed to be stolen from the Libyan Central Bank. Hadeja is cooperating with the investigation, revealing his sponsors and connections
