Renowned Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has opened up about an unexpected reason behind her love for her husband, fellow musician Adekunle Gold.
During a recent social media exchange, Simi shared her admiration for Gold's graphic design and photo editing skills, revealing that this talent was a key factor in her affection for him.
The revelation came after Adekunle Gold showcased his expertise in photo editing by removing a water bottle from a photograph of Nigerian chess master Tunde Onakoya. Onakoya had requested the edit on Twitter (X) on Saturday, and Gold’s swift and skillful response drew praise from Simi.
Reposting the edited photo on her Twitter account, Simi expressed her feelings, writing, “This was why I fell for you. I don’t know who sent you to start singing.” This statement highlights Gold's previous career as a graphic designer before he transitioned into music.
Adekunle Gold, known for his musical talents, was also recognized for his design work, including creating the logo for Olamide's YBNL Nation. He and Simi married on January 9, 2019, in Lagos and welcomed their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
The couple’s personal and professional achievements continue to capture the attention and admiration of their fans, blending their creative talents with a deep personal connection.
