Yomi Fabiyi, Nollywood actor, filmmaker, and human rights activist, has embarked on a private investigation into the death of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Promise, popularly known as Mohbad. Fabiyi, who has been vocal about his demand for justice for Mohbad, shared the update on his Instagram page, stating that his investigation is now in its third day.
He emphasized his dedication to uncovering the truth while ensuring the safety and privacy of all parties involved. Fabiyi's involvement underscores his commitment to holding those responsible accountable, though he has promised to maintain discretion throughout the investigation.

He further explained his role in the investigation, noting that as a Human Rights organization, it is crucial to conduct thorough and unbiased inquiries.
“Not every detail of our investigation will be made public for the safety and right of privacy of all involved. We would rather share with appropriate quarters. But trust me, we will do our best to play our part for a better and safer society,” Fabiyi stated.
Fabiyi also reminded the public about a planned peaceful demonstration in front of the Coroner Inquest Court in Ikorodu, scheduled for September 11, 2024, to continue the call for justice.
