Famous Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has sharply criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), calling it the "most dangerous institution in Nigeria" during the ongoing gubernatorial election in Edo State.
In a series of posts shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, Davido urged Edo residents to closely monitor their votes from polling units to the state collation center, expressing distrust in INEC’s promise to transmit results electronically.
He further warned that winning an election and being declared the winner are two different matters, urging vigilance.
Davido's remarks reflect growing concerns over electoral transparency in Nigeria, particularly during critical state elections.
