Lagos Police Gives Update on Officers Caught Extorting N1m From NYSC Members in Surulere

The Lagos State Police Command's Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, shared a significant update on his X (formerly Twitter) account today. Hundeyin posted a photo of the officers involved in the incident where they were filmed confronting National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Surulere, Lagos State.

These officers allegedly extorted N1 million from the corps members.

In his post, Hundeyin confirmed that the officers in question have been summoned, and disciplinary action has commenced, with their trial already underway.



 The incident had sparked widespread outrage, leading to swift action by the Lagos State Police Command.
