A petrol tanker exploded on Sunday along the Mbiama-Yenagoa Road at Akenfa-3 in Bayelsa State, causing a major fire but fortunately resulting in no loss of life.
The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Bayelsa State Police Command, Musa Mohammed, who reassured the public that there is no cause for alarm.
According to Mohammed, the explosion involved a petrol tanker and a tricycle, commonly known as a "Keke," both of which were engulfed in flames.
Swift intervention by the police and the Federal Fire Service helped contain the situation, ensuring public safety and preventing further damage.
