Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly kidnapped, Prof. Monday Igbafen, the Benin Zonal Coordinator of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The lecturer was said to have been taken hostage at about 9 pm on Saturday.
New Telegraph gathered that Igbafen was accosted by the gunmen while he was driving into his residence at Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area of the State.
His abductors were said to have taken him away to an unknown destination inside his ash colour Toyota Highlander with registration number ABJ 180 JQ.
The Edo State Police Spokesman, SP Joel Yamu, could not be reached for comments
