A Nigerian woman is struggling with a massive debt after accidentally borrowing N2.5m from FairMoney Nigeria, instead of the intended N2,500.

The loan, with interest, now totals N6.8m

The situation was shared on social media by a concerned relative, @Amy_Adabeeke, who revealed that although the woman returned the ₦2.5 million, her dashboard still shows a debt of ₦6.8 million due to interest charges.

The incident has sparked outrage online, with many users calling for FairMoney to address the issue and review their loan approval and interest policies to protect borrowers.

It clearly wasn't accidental borrowing if she did not immediately pay back the over-drawing.
