The World Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigeria's development by offering both technical and financial assistance.

This announcement was made by Ndiame Diop, the World Bank's Country Director for Nigeria, following the release of Nigeria's latest development update report in Abuja.

Diop emphasized that Nigeria remains a key partner for the World Bank, which is providing substantial support to help the country achieve its development goals.

In September 2024, the World Bank approved three new financing initiatives, amounting to $1.57 billion, aimed at advancing Nigeria's economic and developmental progress.

Diop stressed the need for effective implementation of these funds, noting that the assistance comes with strong technical backing to ensure successful outcomes.

The focus is on aligning the financial aid with practical support to guarantee the projects are executed efficiently.
