Nigerian music icon Wizkid has sparked fresh controversy after an apparent cold-shoulder encounter with fellow superstar Davido at a London nightclub, which set social media abuzz. Videos showing the two artists in the same venue, but avoiding each other, ignited a storm of fan reactions online.
While there was no direct confrontation at the club, Wizkid took to his X (formerly Twitter) account, dedicating over an hour to firing off a series of heated tweets aimed at Davido’s entourage. His posts appeared to be a response to the perceived snub and fueled tensions between the two stars’ fanbases.
Wizkid didn’t hold back in his criticism, referring to Davido’s crew as "broke" and "foolish," and implied that any attempt by them to challenge him would have ended poorly for them. In one of his tweets, he wrote, "Broke honeypotboys! Una papa for try anything na! Foolish broke boys. We go use una wipe ground! honeypotboys fan boys 4L!"
The social media exchange escalated when Wizkid responded to a fan who pointed out that the videos from the club encounter seemed to originate mostly from Davido’s side. Wizkid mocked them, writing, "Oloshi una papa never see superstar before. When u see superstar u go record na! When na honeypot beggar dem Dey follow everyday."
The latest comments have reignited the long-standing rivalry between the two Nigerian music heavyweights, drawing sharp reactions from their fanbases. Supporters from both sides have since engaged in heated debates across social media, further fueling the ongoing feud between the two industry titans.
