A 17-year-old domestic worker, Silas Daniel has been arrested over alleged sodomy and defilement of a five-year-old girl.
The suspect, who is a domestic worker in the house of the victims, was said to have raped a five years boy through his anus and a girl.
It was gathered that all these happened whenever the parents of the victims had gone out probably to work, that was when the suspect usually carried out his act.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Benjamin Hundeyin in a statement on Monday said on October 10, 2024, at about 2 pm the case was transferred from Dopemu Police Division to the Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command Ikeja.
Hundeyin said the case was reported by the complaint on behalf of his daughter aged 5 and his son aged 10 against one Silas Daniel 17, who is the domestic help to Complainant.
The complainant alleged that the said Daniel defiled his daughter and his son and that he had segxwal intercourse with the two minors in their house whenever they were not at home and he left the children in the house.
The complainant stated further that, the suspect had segxwal intercourse with his boss’ son through his anus and raped the teenage girl.
Hundeyin said during interrogation the suspect confessed to the crime upon questioning.
Similarly, a 42-year-old man, Gbolahan Osinusi has been arrested also for allegedly rapping 12-year-old girls till she clocked 17 years old.
The suspect who is a teacher in the Ketu-Epe area of the State and also a guardian to the survivor.
It was gathered that the suspect had been having segxwal intercourse with the survivor from when she was 12 till she was 17.
Hundeyin said the matter was also reported at Festac division to the Gender Unit of the Command on September 30, 2024.
He said the suspect had been having segxwal intercourse with her since the survivor was 12 years old till December 2023 when she was 17 years old.
He added further that Osinusi forced the survivor to swear on oath not to tell anyone, else she would die and that he took her severally to a nurse by the name of Mariam Fatolu for abortion drugs to be administered on her whenever she got pregnant.
He however said that Osinusi had been charged to court, on October 16, 2024, while the nurse is currently admitted for medical attention at General Hospital Ketu-Epe. She would also be charged to court as soon as possible.
