Nigerian singer Portable has sparked controversy in the music industry after claiming to have more hit songs than Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy. In a recent video, Portable confidently stated that his hit songs, including “Tony Montana,” surpass Burna Boy’s discography.
However, Burna Boy’s achievements in the music industry tell a different story. With numerous awards and accolades under his belt, including the Best International Act at the 2019 and 2020 BET Awards, Burna Boy has solidified his position as one of Africa’s biggest music exports. His fourth studio album,
“African Giant,” was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, and his fifth studio album, “Twice as Tall,” won the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album in 2021.
