Social media influencer Papaya Ex has expressed frustration over the poor water quality in Lekki, Lagos, revealing that she spends a staggering N24,000 daily on pure water. Taking to her social media to share her concerns, the socialite explained that the water conditions in the area have become so dire that she is forced to rely on bottled water for everyday tasks such as cooking, bathing, and even flushing the toilet.
In a video shared with her followers, Papaya Ex showcased the 30 bags of pure water she had recently purchased, highlighting the financial burden it places on her. “Back to this! I’m tired to think a bag costs 800 naira now in my estate. Imagine 800 naira x 30 bags = 24K everyday. N720K monthly,” she captioned the video, showing the significant amount she spends on water each month.
The influencer’s post has sparked conversations about the growing issue of water quality in Lagos, especially in affluent areas like Lekki, where residents are resorting to purchasing bottled water for basic needs.
