The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) announced her victory in a statement released on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
The NPF, in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, celebrated Chukwu’s win as a significant achievement not only for the police force but also for Nigeria’s rising success in global sports. The statement commended her "exhilarating display of skill and determination" during the championship.
"This victory by Corporal Juliet Chukwu showcases the growing prowess of Nigerian athletes on the world stage," the statement read. "It reflects the Force’s commitment to excellence in sports, which is integral to its values under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun."
The IGP also expressed his pride in Chukwu's achievement, emphasizing the NPF’s dedication to nurturing police excellence in sports, particularly in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). IGP Egbetokun reaffirmed the Force's commitment to supporting officers like Corporal Chukwu who excel in sports and other areas, furthering the NPF's mission of continuous organizational improvement and success.
"The Nigeria Police Force is dedicated to fostering talent, and we are proud to see our officers achieving greatness, both in law enforcement and in sports," the IGP concluded.
