35-Year-Old Nigerian Man Found Dead Inside A Compound In Ogun
The Ogun State Police Command has launched an investigation into the mysterious death of a 35-year-old man, Mukaila Lasisi, whose lifeless body was discovered in a compound on Israel Agbalade Street, Asero, Abeokuta.

The discovery was made on Sunday evening by a security guard, identified only as Amusan, who found the man unconscious in the compound. The police were alerted later that night, at approximately 10:00 PM, when Amusan reported the incident to the Obantoko Division Police Station.

Confirming the incident, the state police spokesperson, Chief Superintendent of Police Omolola Odutola, stated that there were no immediate signs of foul play, although the circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain unclear.

“Preliminary investigations revealed no visible injuries on the body,” Odutola said. “The deceased, identified as Mukaila Lasisi, was confirmed dead at the State Hospital in Ijaye, Abeokuta. His father later identified the body, which has been preserved at the hospital mortuary for further medical examination.”

Police teams from the surveillance unit and the Papa Golf division were dispatched to the scene immediately after the report was filed. Investigators are working to determine how the deceased ended up in the compound, which is primarily occupied by a security guard.

The case bears similarities to an earlier incident reported on December 20, 2024, when a woman, Serifatu Disu, was found dead in the Ago-Iwoye area. She had reportedly left her husband’s house before being discovered in the apartment of a friend, Ogunjobi, who was detained by the police.

While there is no known connection between the two incidents, Odutola assured the public that detectives are making progress and will provide updates as investigations unfold.

The discovery has left residents of the Asero community in shock, with many calling for increased security and vigilance in the area.
