The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Prof. Daniel Olukoya, has declared 2025 as a year of “strange battles,” urging Nigerians to strengthen their spiritual resolve through fervent prayers to overcome the numerous challenges ahead.

In his annual New Year’s message delivered during the church’s crossover service, Olukoya stressed that 2025 would require vigilance, divine guidance, and robust spiritual preparation. Drawing from Acts 1:8, he declared it a year of power and undeniable victory for MFM members worldwide, but warned of potential turbulence in various sectors, including the economy, politics, and weather conditions.

Olukoya outlined prophetic insights for the year, emphasizing the need for prayer to combat strange infirmities, reclaim lost opportunities, and navigate extreme weather disruptions. He cautioned that 2025 would be marked by intense spiritual and personal struggles, with conflicts arising between opposing forces—those lacking glory fighting against those with it, the oppressed challenging the free, and the corrupt targeting the upright.

The cleric also warned against spiritual complacency, stressing that a lack of prayer during these battles would lead to dangerous consequences. Furthermore, Olukoya predicted that the year would expose fake ministers and lead to the disgrace of those with hidden immoral behaviors, particularly among married men. He singled out the temptation of “strange women,” whom he described as spiritual agents of the marine world, urging caution in this area.

Despite the challenges, Olukoya assured believers that divine breakthroughs await, including restoration of blessings, progress in marriage and fertility, and unlimited deliverance. He also highlighted the importance of forgiveness, promising that it would bring great rewards in 2025.

Concluding his message, Olukoya encouraged Nigerians to embrace righteousness, prayer, and resilience, confidently trusting in God's power to overcome the year’s trials and claim victory.
