Paris Saint-Germain have initiated contact with the representatives of Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface about a potential move to the French capital.
According to journalist Abdel Hamed, PSG’s sporting advisor Luis Campos began discussions with the Nigerian’s entourage in December as the French champions look to bolster their attacking options.
The 24-year-old, who helped Leverkusen secure a historic treble; Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, and German Super Cup, in 2024, is currently in negotiations over a contract extension that would keep him at the German club until 2029 and make him one of their highest-paid players.
However, Boniface’s immediate focus is on recovering from a thigh injury that has kept him sidelined since November 2024. The striker has missed Leverkusen’s last nine matches and suffered a setback in his rehabilitation.
“Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed that Victor Boniface’s return to match action has been delayed due to a minor setback in his rehab phase,” Leverkusen-centred blog, WerkselfXtra posted via X.
Sky Sports News reporter, Marlon Irlbacher added, “As B04 reports, Victor Boniface’s return to play is delayed due to a small setback in the rehabilitation phase.”
