Media figure Yeni Kuti has expressed her views regarding a viral video featuring actress Ngozi Ezeonu, who publicly admonished two aspiring actresses for attending an audition without bras.

During a discussion on a program aired by TVC, Kuti remarked that it was not within Ngozi Ezeonu’s purview to chastise the young women, emphasizing that older generations often overlook their own past behaviors when they were younger.

I think it wasn’t really any of her business. All she had to do was to reject them ‘I don’t want people who dress like you’, that’s all. She made a statement saying ‘Even when I was your age’. I do not want to be a hypocrite because when I was that age, I wore tight jeans and small tops.

We forget as old people what we did, so when we are criticizing young people, I have forgotten what I did at 24 or 20 when my stomach was flat. If I wear it you will call me and say Aunty are you not ashamed to be showing this your stomach about”

She's way bigger than you, thats why you'll dress up from home, come all the way to a TV station to discuss her.

..AS A MOTHER, ONE WOULD HAVE EXPECTED HER TO CALL THEM ASIDE AND ADVISE THEM NOT TO DRESS LIKE THAT TO A MOVIE AUDITION WITHOUT ANYONE SEEING AND HEARING HER VOICE APART FROM THE TWO GIRLS. PUBLICLY DISGRACING THEM IS NOT A GOOD BEHAVIOUR.

I support Ngozi...what the heck happens to 'it takes a village to raise a child?'. She did what any well brought up woman and grandmother would have done and if she didn't hold the mike? How will the aspiring ones learn? For Yeni, she wasn't well raised. That we know.
