The children of the late Alaafin of Oyo have issued a warning to Queen Dami, one of the monarch's widows, urging her to refrain from mentioning their father's name in her public statements and personal affairs.
In a letter dated January 22, 2025, they expressed their displeasure with her actions and threatened legal action if she continues to involve their late father in her controversies.
The letter emphasized that Queen Dami should pursue her endeavors without associating them with the late Alaafin, highlighting that her behavior has become increasingly embarrassing and unacceptable.
They questioned how she would feel if someone dragged her own late father's name into negative situations.
They warned that they would take legal action against her if she continues to make remarks that tarnish his memory or their family name.
This development follows a series of public disputes involving Queen Dami, including a recent altercation with singer Portable, where he accused her of inappropriate behavior during a live-streaming session.
The late Alaafin's children have made it clear that they will take necessary legal measures to protect their father's legacy if Queen Dami continues to involve his name in her personal matters.
Dami who was the last wife of the monarch, has been having online battles with her ex-lover, singer Portable.
