The Kano State Hisbah Board has apprehended ten individuals, including eight women and two men, for allegedly loitering at night in different parts of the state.
The arrests were carried out under the ongoing “Operation Clean Up” initiative, aimed at enforcing public order and enhancing environmental sanitation across the state.
Addressing journalists, the Acting Commander of Hisbah, Aminudden Mujahiddeen, confirmed that the suspects were picked up from locations such as Kofar Ruwa Motor Park, Airport Road, and Sabon Gari, among others.
Mujahiddeen revealed that some of those arrested are suspected of drug-related activities and solicitation. “Some of them are not even from Kano, and one of the women is not Nigerian,” he stated.
He assured residents that investigations are ongoing and that necessary legal actions will be taken to uphold peace and security in the state.
