The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intensified its crackdown on drug trafficking, leading to the arrest of three suspects in Kano for illegal drug possession.

According to a statement released on Sunday by NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, operatives apprehended two young men, Usaini Salisu and Yahaya Mu’azu, both 23 years old, at Gadar Tamburawa along Zaria Road on Monday, February 3. The duo was caught attempting to smuggle 15,396 tramadol pills, cleverly concealed inside a gas cylinder.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to curbing drug-related crimes and warned traffickers that it would continue to disrupt illicit drug supply chains across the country.
