Police in Niger State have arrested a 23-year-old man, Hashimu Sani, for allegedly stabbing 20-year-old Musa Bala to death in Kotonkoro village.
According to eyewitnesses, Sani had been boasting about his ability to kill without consequences before carrying out the attack.
PPRO Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the arrest, stating that officers attached to the Bangi Division found the suspect in possession of two bloodstained knives.
“When questioned, the suspect could not provide any explanation for his actions or any dispute between him and the deceased. Investigations revealed that he is a known drug addict,” Abiodun said.
The police have transferred Sani to the SCID for further investigation and prosecution.
