
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested four suspects in separate operations in Nasarawa and Niger states, seizing a total of 579.7 kilograms of skunk.
According to a statement by Femi Babafemi, NDLEA’s Director of Media & Advocacy, two suspects, Bello Adamu (40) and Pius Azuka (42), were apprehended on Saturday, February 22, along the Kokona/Keffi axis with 517 kilograms of the illicit substance.
In another operation on Thursday, February 20, NDLEA operatives intercepted a Toyota Corolla on Sabon Asibiti Road in Kontagora, Niger State. The vehicle was transporting 62.7 kilograms of skunk, leading to the arrest of Usman Ruwa (43) and Yunusa Haruna (45).
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to cracking down on drug trafficking networks across the country.
