A security analyst, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi has made a revelation about the banditry taking place in the North.

He revealed that many influential Nigerians are involved in it.

Speaking with newsmen in Gusau on Wednesday, the Zamfara State capital, the security analyst said that no individual has constitutional power over any form of government unless the government does not want to act accordingly.

“I can assure you that if the police, other security agencies, and military operatives join forces, the bandits would relocate fast from the zone, I bet,” he vowed.

Speaking further, Abdullahi recalled that the former Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, once said that “if a crisis persists in a place for more than 24 hours, the government has a hand in the crisis.”

“Nigerians should not be deceived because many influential individuals in the country have hands in the banditry activities,” he lamented.

“In Nigeria, the law of the land is usually drafted for the common man because if you see a politician commit a crime and is arraigned in a court of law, you will see him freed within minutes because they control the law, and the law cannot control them,”
he lamented.

“I wonder why people should be talking about the law when everybody in Nigeria knows very well that the law is only drafted for the needy people in the country.”

“The same common people are fighting each other in the name of politics and killing themselves because of politicians, while the same politicians we are fighting for are enjoying our resources while we are dying of hunger and starvation.”

“I have been lecturing my friends and neighbors that Nigeria is still a country, not yet a nation, with the kind of democracy we are practicing in this country, but they refuse to believe.”

“Corruption, especially looting of public resources, started in the 1990s. I believe those of us born before that period know this very well.”
