An angry husband is suing a self-proclaimed prophet for compensation after the prophet allegedly impregnated his wife. Edson Chirimani, who claims to be a prophet, has been accused of impregnating a married woman in his congregation, leading to a miscarriage.

The woman's identity has not been disclosed.
Chirimani has denied the accusations, stating that the woman’s husband, Nigel Furaijo, is now demanding reimbursement for the hospital bills incurred during the miscarriage. The matter has escalated to the Harare Civil Court, where a peace order has been granted against Furaijo.

Furaijo has expressed his anger publicly, accusing the prophet of betraying him and failing to take responsibility for the affair. Furaijo claims his wife confessed to the affair, leading him to feel disrespected and betrayed. He insists that Chirimani should “man up” and take responsibility for his actions.

Furaijo also criticized having to pay for the hospital bills related to the miscarriage, stating that he should not be covering expenses for someone who betrayed him. “I want my money back because I cannot pay bills for someone who can have sex with her prophet,” he said.

In his defense, Chirimani denies having any involvement with the woman and insists that Furaijo’s accusations are unfounded. He claims that Furaijo has been harassing him with threatening messages and even visited his home. “Nigel sent me a picture of his wife asking me if I knew her, and I denied it because I help a lot of people,” Chirimani said. He added that Furaijo’s aggressive behavior has left him fearing for his safety, and he urged him to stop sending threatening messages and coming to his home.

The case has led to legal action, with Chirimani being granted a peace order to prevent further harassment or threats from Furaijo. However, the situation remains tense, as Furaijo demands accountability, while Chirimani maintains his innocence and accuses Furaijo of mistaken identity and harassment.
