The Ogun State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a man seen in a viral video brutally kicking a young boy, an act that has sparked widespread outrage.
The disturbing footage, shared online by Facebook user Adelere Rasaki, shows the suspect delivering a forceful kick to the child, causing him to fall backward and hit his head on the ground before bursting into tears.
Rasaki identified the man as Odukaye Kunle and provided an address in Ado Odo Ota, Ogun State, urging authorities to take swift action. "This man is not supposed to be living among the sane. Please help repost until the long hand of the law gets to him," Rasaki wrote.
The video quickly caught the attention of the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who, in a post on X.com, condemned the act and directed the Ogun Police Command to take immediate action.
“This is sad and callous. Why?? Anger is destructive,” Adejobi wrote, calling for the suspect’s arrest. He also stressed the need for urgent medical attention for the child due to the potential risk of head injuries or internal bleeding.
Authorities have urged anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to contact the police as the search intensifies.
