The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, is set to spearhead a significant prayer crusade in Ibadan, focusing on critical issues such as kidnapping and banditry.
The two-day event will take place at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, beginning on Friday.
The initiative, organized by the RCCG’s Oyo Provinces, will feature influential spiritual leaders, including Bishop Francis Wale Oke and Bishop Taiwo Adelakun.
Together, they aim to rally the community in prayer and seek divine solutions to the nation’s pressing challenges.
At a press briefing, Pastor Jide Ojurongbe, Chairman of the Planning Committee, outlined the extensive measures to ensure a safe and impactful gathering.
Emphasizing crowd management and security, he noted that partnerships with local law enforcement and medical teams are in place to address any potential concerns.
Pastor Ojurongbe, represented by Pastor Ezekiel Afolayan, highlighted the crusade’s unique significance, as it marks the first time Pastor Adeboye will minister at the stadium.
According to him, the inter-denominational event is expected to attract participants from various backgrounds, fostering unity in the face of adversity.
“As Nigeria continues to battle issues like kidnapping and banditry, this prayer crusade aims to galvanize spiritual support and invoke divine intervention.”
“With the involvement of esteemed leaders from across the country, the event promises to be a powerful call to action for the community and a beacon of hope for those affected by these challenges,” he stated.
