Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State, has expelled a male student who was caught on camera assaulting a female colleague over a dispute related to his girlfriend.

The university management released a statement announcing the expulsion, emphasizing its zero-tolerance policy for violence and misconduct. The incident, which went viral on social media, showed the student physically attacking the female victim, sparking outrage among Nigerians.

Authorities at Bells University stated that the disciplinary committee reviewed the case and found the student guilty of gross misconduct, leading to his immediate expulsion.

The school urged students to resolve conflicts peacefully and reiterated its commitment to maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment.
