I posted a topic on why you would want to have a baby and pals gave several reasons .On the 26th of january , the first "bébé medicament" or "bébé du double espoir" as the french poeple will call it was born in France .
This is a situation where there is genetically inherited disese in the family like the beta thalassemia(a defect in heamoglobin production and the ability of the red blood cell to carry oxygen to the body cells)
Research shows that having another child with the same genetic properties can help to correct this abnormality in the older ones by collecting the blood in the cord after the new child is born .
What do u think of having a child just for this reason ?

only if am sure that it has no side effect on the new kid...if successful we will neva mention this to both kidz so the first child wouldnt live in the shadoow of the second thinking he/ she owes the other

It is not supposed to have any negative effect on both children but dont u think they will know even if u dont tell them ?

I see no reason the 2nd child should mind when he eventually grows up especially since he'll not be negatively affected; afterall some people donate organs 2 their siblings!saving a life is worth having more babies for....
