Libya under attack - wrong or right? (Page 3)

Human beings can be so naive and predictable. Everyone is talking about what a demon Ghadafi is but has anyone asked themselves why the US is really interested in Libya? Several years ago, there was an epidermic of violence in Rwanda. Hutu's and Tutsi's killed themselves in millions within 3 MONTHS while the world watched. Foreign nationals in that country were extradited and the people were left to slaughter themselves. Why? Rwanda is a country of no interest to them. They have little or no resources so why should they waste their resources saving millions of lives. The only reason the US is bombing Libya is because of OIL and nothing more. I am 100% sure that the civil disturbance of the rebel fighters was sponsored by the US and when things got out hand, the US plays the role of Superman and saves the day. Same thing they did with Pakistan and Afghanistan. Till today, no weapons of mass destruction were found. Instead, they have toppled the government there and put their puppets in place. US now controls their oil and the same US that's "against" hard drugs has thousands of hectares of opium poppy fields which are guarded by the US military.Watch Libya carefully for the next 20 years. It will NEVER be stable. Can anyone name one country that has stability after western influence? Look at Nigeria. 50 years after the so called independence, Nigerians are yet to be fully united. Everyone regards themselves first by their tribe, then community, then state before being Nigerians. The term "Nigerian" only exists on drivers licences, international passports and other similar documents.

People can say a lot about Ghadafi but he has done a lot more to improve the lot of his people than our so called leaders. If he was so "terrible" to his people, why did Nigerians travel there to work in hundreds of thousands? A lot of Nigerians preferred hustling their way into Libya to work and earn good money (which had a higher value than the US dollar) than to travel to UK. All this talk about him being a tyrant and all that is the western propaganda to paint him black. Whether there's a dictatorship or not, the first thing you should ask yourself is "what is he doing for his people" OR "is he working in the interest of his people?".

Nobody is saying that Libya has not improved or developed more than Nigeria under Gaddafi but the point being that should one man remain in power for more than 40 years? This is not a monarchy. Besides, Gaddafi's family is the richest in Libya. He is corrupt and despotic but with a population a few million and the massive oil revenue, he can afford to bring massive development whilst robbing his country blind. No one is under any illusion about the purpose of the Western military intervention which is basically oil, is it okay for a leader to use jet fighters to bomb his own people?
