De man werd woensdagavond bij zijn woning in de Groningse wijk Beijum lastiggevallen door een groep journalisten. Hij voelde zich zo onder druk gezet dat hij met zijn zoontje het huis uitvluchtte en rust zocht in een nabijgelegen verzorgingstehuis.
,,Er was sprake van een extreme run op deze man. Een aantal journalisten is zelfs de woning binnengedrongen om hem te spreken te krijgen,” aldus de politie.
Ook in het tehuis werd de man nog lastiggevallen. De politie heeft vervolgens besloten de man en zijn zoontje op een geheim adres onder te brengen. De familie krijgt verder geen speciale politiebescherming.
Het meisje uit Groningen beviel vorige week dinsdag van een gezonde dochter tijdens een schoolexcursie. De scholiere kreeg last van hevige kramp in haar buik. Ze wist niet dat ze zwanger was. Haar dochtertje is door ambulancepersoneel ter wereld geholpen.
De politie doet onderzoek nadat de Raad voor de Kinderbescherming dinsdag aangifte had gedaan van een zedenmisdrijf. Het is strafbaar om bij een kind dat jonger is dan 12 jaar binnen te dringen. Het meisje was 11 jaar toen ze zwanger werd.
