This is a very grave and sad situation. The government needs to act fast to restore order.
It will also require the intervention of the Hausa elders and religious leaders to calm these
peope down. Leadership is needed from the defeated political parties. These are their
supporters. They are more likely to listen to fellow local Hausa politicians than the federal
government in Abuja.

One of the very few reasonable posts on this web Thank you brother -- we need more comments like yours . Some idiots have plenty of time to waste fueling the crisis . If this situation escalates most of the useless commentators here would not be within reach . yet they are senselessly fueling the crisis through their thoughtless remarks .   Some even joking about it .  They cannot see how serious things are getting almost getting out of hand especially with these reprisal attacks as no one knows exactly how far this will go eventually .

Folks should wake up and show some sense .  through healthy and meaningful  comments offering reasonable suggestions on how to deescalate the crisis .   Otherwise your education is valueless .  And you are worse than the illetrate Boko Haramists yourself because you will be falling into their trap .   They have one aim .  -  To cause religious violence in Nigeria similar to the likes of  former Yugoslavia , that way they can have a separate islamic state with full Shariyat laws .  funded by oil money from the Arab states and in which they will wield more power
