I sincerely condemned what is happening in Jos and i dont know why people dont have value for human life. This is very unfortunate. I would want my other pals to know that what is happening in Jos is purely political and not religious. Why is it that anytime there is a riot in the north people will take it to be religious? There was a riot in Ibadan, Osun even in Edo and Kogi during the election but all these are not religious any riot in the north is religious why? You are using that to condmned islam, islam is a religion of peace islam preaches peace, peace and peace always. May God almighty help us in this our country. Reply

I think we need a rethink over the whole issue, the Jos massacre, the Mumbai killings, the Iraqi killings, killings in Afghanistan..we shouldnt see muslims as blood sucking people.Well, for those that really want fairness, please take a look on WHY IS MUSLIMNATIONS TROUBLED...George Bush just confirmed that he was misled to fight Iraqi war...stop giving us bad names..Islam means peace..why should a cartoonist take pleasure in making a carricature of prophet Muhammad...Diego maradona cant be abused in Argentina street because they respect him..i was in Argentina last month for Internationalbar conference....so islam and muslims are not blood suckers read about islam form some sites but if you are biased carry go Reply

I'm a jossite and wont let you give a false story. Political what? This crisis was pre-planned. Did you see the weapons used, the organisation, the mecemeries and the looting? There was nothing political about the riots in J-town. Anyone who sees this as political has lost touch with reality and humanity... Reply

Quote from: hakeemv12 on 1-12-2008 10:03 AM We are too blind to see that our religious ideologies is the one tearing this world apart. Why must a man kill because of his religion?it's high time we should ban religious studies in our institution just like Italy. At least it won't bring segregation and tribalistic views to the mind of the new generation of our race. And we learnt it was been politically motivated...Nigeria politicians...when are they going to stop this confusion?Well, there time is coming when we shall wipe there families and rebel against them.Anybody that doesn't want peace to prevail in this country will surely not enter year 2009 in Jesus name...AMEN.My regards to the families that were been killed in this horrific tragedy that happened in Jos.May there gentle soul rest in peace...AMEN ![]()

This is why i insist that the way out of the Nigerian problem is proper education. At the bottom of this rubbish is the disease called illiteracy. Now if these individuals are educated then they will be able to think critically. It will occur to them that there is nothing to benefit from fighting and killing for a thief. How on earth will the contestant for the election benefit the average moslem or christian on the street carrying out this killing? ReplyThe day the politician wins the election, he will throw a party that the warriors can not even attend, spen the evening planning how he will loot public funds, enrich himself and immediate family members and totally ignore the masses. While this killing is going on, the people on whose behalf the fools fight are in Sharaton Hotel Abuja or in Nicon, commiting adultery and spending government funds. The illiterate are on the streets killing innocent citizens on their behalf. How unfair can life be? I thank the Lord for giving Christians the wisdom to kill, killers of whatever faith or belief. I do not bother anymore, it is an eye for an eye, I would cry if it were they days when one faith killed and the other just wept and ran to hide. May God deliver Nigeria from the dark age.

Are u suprised? When d wicked rules people suffer, but people are at peace when de righteous rules. Replywe are unfortunate that we are unable 2 get a leader in dis country. All these rubbish are masterminded by some of our heartless, selfcentred and demonic rulers who do not have fear of God. Our problem in dis country is not religion rather leadership.we have gangs of vampires as our leaders. Only God can save Nigeria. God blessed dis country in all ramifications, but we are bad and desrve no good. this is the punishment 4 our wickedness.

As someone who had the entirety of my tertiary education in the north, it never ceases to amaze me the lust for blood in the average northerner! At the slightest provoation blood flows why? If this is religion, then their god must be strange. How can a God who gives life take pleasure in quenching it so inhumanly? Don't forget that the innocent blood you shed will cry against you and your land no matter what. The TRUE GOD never sleeps, U can be sure of that. Reply

i think it is rather unfortunate that people plan the distruction of people whom you have come to leave with. these people should learn to accept the fact that God has set things in place and no one can just decide to it not even with swords and guns. think twice. Reply

jos ethnoreligios crisis is not the best at this very time, I think as brothers we should be keepers of oneanother not killing ourselves. THIS crises resulted from local election, what our yuoth should understand is that those to be elected into power and their reletives will hardly be victims in most of this crises n neither their children, then why should our youth be allowed to be missused just becouse of some small money? ReplyIt's high time to stop all this brutal killings, political violence n religios crisis. I also want to use this medium to call un federal Gov't. to take necessary action against Gov. jonah jong, whom I believe is behind all this crises.

i have not fully understood what was the major reason for all this.is it political or religious violent.on top of this mess, the state gov wants to swear in the supposed elected local gov chairmen.why will all dis start from the north? Reply

Its just funny going through some of the posts in this thread. Some people have displayed their ignorance and it is unfortunate. As long as we have such opinions as to the saying that Muslims are always at fault then there is a problem. I have a Brother who lives in Jos, everything he has slaved for is there. His wife is a 4th Generation Yoruba woman from Ogbomoso - Her grandfather was born in Jos! She does not have anywhere else she could call home. His farm was almost burnt but for the fact that since he built the farm, he had been the 'water works' for his neighbours! Or what of the report of the Youth Corps member who was told to call his father and they ran a commentary of the process of his killing to his relative on the other side! ReplyI think we should all focus our attention to the root of this scourge rather than sit in the comfort of our air conditioned offices and houses in Lagos and elsewhere apportioning blames. My people say "Before Ring worm becomes a big wound, we should call in the herbalist first" but now that the wound is getting bigger than what the herbalist can handle, why don't we just cut off the limb. But of course you and I know that it wont solve this problem. We must all have heard the advises from various quarters that the State Government should not allow the elections to hold. I think its just the politicians as usual who are feeding fat on the other albatross that they have hanged on our necks. If all the youths were gainfully employed or are kept in school, would we have anyone readily available to fight on their behalf. I always ask one funny question, Do you see the children of these politicians in the thick of battle when this things start? The answer is obvious. They get to power, steal all the money send their kids to school abroad, hospital abroad for treatment of ailments as common cold, but make sure that the schools and hospitals here don't work so that they can have hungry boys and girls who would be willing to do their bidding for a few coins. I am a Muslim and I don't have any excuse about that, but its just unfortunate that we can have people who think that Killing is a preserve of Muslims. I did not hear anybody in the world call the Killing of Muslims in the old Yugoslavia religious cleansing neither did anyone call the killing of Muslims in Chechnya by Russians religious war. Don't forget that we are human beings first before we become anything else. I am a very passionate person as far as Nigeria is concerned, I have friends from all the nooks and crannies of this country and I do not relate with them based on their religious convictions. I think we need to come together and force our politicians to do our bidding and not the other way round. by now we should have been filling a complaint at INEC and petitioning the Plateau State House of Assembly for the Impeachment of the Governor who despite repeated warnings still went ahead to allow an election to hold - The elections were rigged anyway, both loser and winner did rig! I am sure but then we need to pray hard and ask GOD to Bless our COUNTRY
