Police dismiss corporal for allegedly killing girlfriend

AKURE-POLICE authorities have dismissed Police Corporal Gbenga Fawoyi, who was charged to Court for killing his girl friend Chibuzor in Ondo State.

The Ondo State Police PRO, Adeniran Aremu, told Vanguard that the officer had been dismissed from the Police Force and that his dismissal followed the recommendation of an orderly room trial of the Police officer at the Police Headquarters in Akure last week.

Vanguard learnt that the officer was found culpable of negligence hence his dismissal from the Police Force.

Aremu said the Police Command acted on the recommendation of the panel that tried Fawoyi.

Report said the deceased had gone to visit Fawoyi at his duty post from Ore, Odigbo local government area of the state when the unfortunate incident occurred.
