it is a sad news but all thesame, my advice for the deportees is that they shouldn't boder, i know is painful for the money spent to get there but God who provide, He will surely multiply it, don't worry, our president Jonathan will change nigeria for good and every body will be getting their daily bread, for the down fall of a man is not the end of his life.

Let Nigeria start deporting people to because they are so many white immigrants here in Nigeria. And let it start now even those from African Countries, Nigerians have suffered because of the economical burdens in the Country

Babe, not all of them are criminals, most of them do not have the relevant papers to stay in UK, still are treated like common criminals when under deportation.

Yes they are still criminals if you don't know what criminals means......When most of them do not have the relevant papers to stay in the UK ,don't they know that in the UK immigration Law  says when you don't have the relevant papers to stay in the UK it is also a crime under criminal law....So now tell me why dn't you people study the abroad policy and law  before travelling, you think all the beautiful things there are not govern by their law and rules......Do you think their land is like nigeria where you can bribe crime....

Advise your follow Nigerian to read very carefully  about the foreign laws and policy before they jump in there....

I don't know where you get the idea that immigration law is not a civil law but criminal law? If you overstay your permit, the punishment is deportation and not a term in prison. Although there is overlapse between criminal and civil law in most jurisprudence

All this ones wey dey vex like person owe them are you guys illegal immigrants?Huh? That is how it is over here in the states too they are deporting illegal spanish people back to their countries. You can not blame the government for doing what they do. For instance, Illegal immigrants do not pay taxes from my understanding, and is not fair for a citizen or a legal immigrant to work for their money and only end up paying taxes that will support those that are not contributing the financial expenses of the country. So you cannot blame them for wanting the freeloaders out. This is my personal opinion anybody wey no like am can go pour a bucket of water on their body and go hug a transformer.
I understand your view but I disagree with your view that Illegal immigrant don't pay taxes because they do. The government get more money from illegal immigrant because these illegal immigrants work with other people's documents and they don't ask for tax return at the end of the financial year. Most Illegal Immigrant work and pay taxes. The only difference is just the "IL" added to Legal due to some circumstances. No one want to be termed illegal but things happen. They take risk just because they want their family in Nigeria to have a better life.

I think it is good for our people who dont want to stay and struggle here in Nigeria rather traveling abroad, it is either you going for a work you are invited for or you going there to school. But for those who go there for drug dealings and other criminal acts will definitely come back here and meet us. What a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are right not all are criminals. They were deported mainly for political and economic reasons.
Political because the present government in UK wants to show that they are doing something
about immigrations.
Economic situation in Europe is not as good as it used to be. With fewer jobs and
opportunities to earn a living those without the necessary documents become liabililies. European
governments prefer to send these immigrants back to their own countries instead of giving them
public assistance.
Nigerian Government need to find a way to create jobs for those able and willing to work. Fewer
people will go overseas looking for opportunities if they can find jobs back home.

No one will go out to welcome them. Reason is that they need the the time and privacy to
refelect on their situation. They are all going through very difficult period and
need help from our government to get home to their families. Some will stay in Lagos if
only to avoid the series of questions from curiousity seekers.

I understand what you mean. Our government need to pursue economic policies that encourage the
creation of jobs. Examples include repairing and building of network of transportation infrastructures.
Public higway projects are sure way to create many jobs and stimulate the ecomomy. However, deep
corruption and lack of accountability have in the past prevented such policy from succeeding.
