The police in Lagos State have arrested a 32-year-old notorious and wanted armed robber, Charles Okon, after a successful operation at a church in Aguda area of Surulere of the state. The suspect and other runaway members of his gang had, a few days ago, invaded Our Lady of Fatimah Catholic Church, Aguda, and made away with several millions of naira and other valuables. Luck, however, ran out of the gang as their leader, Charles Okon, was arrested by men of Mopol 22 Squadron around Tin Can Island in Apapa, during the sharing of the ; loot from the church. The arrested robbery kingpin had, some weeks ago, escaped to Ghana after his girlfriend, Mariam Onwuka, was arrested at a motor park in Lagos State with three AK 47 riffles. The image maker in charge of the state police command, Samuel Jinadu, while speaking with the Nigerian Tribune on the arrest of the robbers, stated that the gang overpowered the security man on guard at the church. He further added that the gang not only emptied t he church 's safe for the offering and tithe for about two months but also invaded the priest's compound and made away with money and other valuables.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the gang had a field day operating at the church, moving from one point to another, robbing people of money and other valuables, including mobile phones, laptop, and jewelries . The gang had, immediately after the operation, moved to Apapa, with the aim of sharing all that they got from the church, only to be attacked by policemen, leading to the arrest of the gang leader.
Charles, while speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, confessed to be an armed robber and a member of the gang that attacked Our Lady of Fatimah Church, Aguda, but blamed it all on "unemployment."

He must be stupid, he does not hear "touch not my annointed" of all places he did see where to rob except the church of God and that is it, and God says that his cup is full and he was caught, stupid man beware of the Catholic Churches because they will engage you and God with Novena Masses and praying of the Rosary for God to fight for them and God has never failed them. Please be warned.
