Just a few months after he was attacked by men of the underworld somewhere around Anthony Village area of Lagos, on his way to his friend Sunni Nneji's video shoot, another set of robbers invaded the Iju Ishaga house of Juliana crooner, Felix Duke.
WG gathered that the armed bandit stormed the dance hall musician's home at about 1.00a.m, on Wednesday morning and made straight to his apartment where they easily gained access and robbed him of his property and cash worth several hundreds of thousands in Naira.
Our investigations revealed that the armed bandit may have targeted Felix who occupies one of the four flats in the building.
Immediately they gained access to his apartment our source further revealed, they first asked for his mobile phones and that of his friend who is squatting with him and then proceeded to ransack the flat.
They were alleged to have taken away three laptops and cash of 150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand naira) before battering the two occupants of the flats and leaving both with swollen faces. Felix we gathered also sustained an injury in his left eyes.
In a solemn voice, grieve stricken Felix who lamented his loss said he is yet to come to terms why robbers have in recent time chosen to attack him and why.
According to him, "I don't know what they want from me. Perhaps they think I'm a very rich guy and one who keeps much money in the house. I don't understand what is happening, but trust me nemesis will catch with them" he told Weekend Groove.
On how the robbers gained access to his apartment, the Juliana crooner said, "I don't know how it all happened. All I noticed is that I found them in my room and they were ordering me to surrender all that I have on me. And after they had collected my laptops and phones, they even went away with my wrist watches and gold chains."
"And to add insults into injury, one of them still had to hit me in the eye with the butt of his gun. I sustained a slight injury in my left eye. At the end of their operation, they locked us inside the house" he further revealed.
The robbers' effort to enter the other flats was however thwarted following the arrival of the patrol team of men of the Rapid Response Squad to the robbery scene.
When we called at the Iju Area police station, one of the officers who would not want to be mentioned confirmed our story saying "We were alerted at about 2:35am on the said 1st of May 2011, that a robbery was going on in the area and we went there immediately to assist the residents but by the time our men got there, the robbers had left.
But we gathered further that investigation is still ongoing as the police promised to get to the bottom of the matter very soon.
