Pope Benedict XVI, the head of the Catholic Church worldwide has officially joined twitter.

His first ever tweet was sent via an Ipad.

This is history in the making because Pope Benedict XVI will be the first pope to ever join a Social Networking site as an avenue to share his heart and thoughts with his people.
