i met ds girl durin summer sch in 2001 while preparin for JAMB and ad a crush for her but neva told her. 5 years afta we meet on the road side and she invites me to her place. dat nyt we talked and she confirm she also ad a crush on me and told me to come see her. wen i got to her place the followin week we were talkin but i noticed she was moody and i asked wat was up. she refused but i pestered and she ended up tellin me dat she ad sex for the firsttime 3 weeks befor i met her and she tinks she's pregnant. i was shocked and i told her to taske tins easy. she sed d guy told her to go sort herself. i consoled her and told her she wasnt pregnant but she kept insistin and i foolishly sed if she was i would take responsibility. she was supriseed but i told her i was serious and vowed. the next weeks she called me that she went for a test and was negative. pls pips dont crucify me.

What is there to crucify you about? you wanted to take responsibility when another guy wouldn't, what you did was not foolish, you are simply a good man. Let her know that the next time she gets to know the person before having sex with them. Kids ain't nothing to play with.

Well in a way it seems so cos u try to prevent her from killing the baby thereby would ve saved a life but then, my dear just remember that in this part of the world ones act of kindness could sometimes bring him untold woes. thats if u understand what i mean.

As Vixen said....Children are not something to play with...

You being nice is not the answer to that girl's need.  Takin on someone else's child is NOT something u do cos its 'nice'.  A child Needs stability, support, financially emotionally and otherwise.... U can be 'nice' for a moment, but we are talking for life!! Cos that is what a child is ... FOR LIFE...

Be nice and tell her u will support her, but not TAKE responsibility for that child especially when u arent prepared for that.

Dont get me wrong, what u did obviously was outstanding as a Man. but as I said, u had a lucky escape, cos her pregnancy came back negative...

Ask urself this, what if it had come back Positive? where would ur life be in 10yrs time? and where will ur life be in 10yrs time now that the result was negative?
