A group calling itself the Young Patriots of the New Patriotic Party has accused President Mills of corruption.

The group alleges that the president is using his brother, Cadman Mills, as a front to make extra income for himself.

The group also insist the actions and/or inactions of the Mills-Mahama the government is responsible for the high cost of living in the country. In light of this, the group has asked Ghanaians to join them in a demonstration on Tuesday 6th September, 2011.

The demonstration will start off at the Obra Spot, through the Kojo Thompson road and the National Theatre, after which the leadership will serve the president with a petition at the Castle.

The displeased General Secretary of the group, Richard Nyamah, who spoke to Citi News, blamed the current difficulties faced by Ghanaians on various government officials who they accuse of siphoning tax payers’ money for their personal use.

“Most of the loans secured by President Mills are acquired by Cadman Mills who takes a commission. "As we speak, there is a commission of about $37 million on the $3 billion Chinese loan that is coming in. There is a conflict of interest here because Cadman Mills is not a minister. "(Presidential aide)Stan Dogbe took his girlfriend to the United States to deliver a baby.

"The lady refuses to come back and she flies everywhere at the cost of the tax payer. "Just a couple of days ago, Joe Gidisu was gifted a BMW 7 series 2011 edition costing $175000; what for? The Achimota road has been abandoned.

"The vice president was supposed to have secured some $300,000 for the SADA project the last time he went to the US, and as at now that money cannot be traced”.

The petition will be calling for the head of the chairman of GNPC Ato Ahwoi, the Chief Executive of NPA, Alex Mould and the Minister of Energy, Dr. Joe Oteng-Adjei whom they describe as incompetent.
