Why do Africans, Nigerians precisely borrow money to do burial, why they will sew clothes, drink champagne, beer, kill cows and goats to celebrate burial.

D most painful aspect is dat when d person is alive, dey will nt spend such money on him bt at his/her death, dey will be competiting on who will bring d highest cow, wear d latest george/asho oke or jewelry. D most expensive tin in nigeria is burial ceremony. Some even go to d extent of celebrating d deceased 1st, 2nd...........6th, 7th and 8th burial. Everytin for naija na excess.

really hater u all need to stop posting crap most family celebrate the die and took care of ur their love one b4 their passing away and some dnt cause they re punk ass wen d person or family die they wan carry heaven and show d place so we re talking abt two different tin writer state it out next time

Not all Africans, In Islam we don't spend much on burials it is the Christians that like doing that and it is not even religious. One even wonder where they inherit that tradition from because it's not biblical! Its becoming more like a fashion trend that changes with time.
