Onobong Lucky (34) and Grace Akpan (28) were arraigned before Magistrate M. O. Tanimola, but they pleaded not guilty. Tanimola granted them bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in like sum each. The ladies were charged with breach of peace, public fighting and assault. The prosecutor, Insp. Rita Momoh, submitted that the ladies committed the alleged offences on Oct. 2 at No. 43, Olorunfunmi St., Owonronshoki. Momoh said that the duo fought in a beer parlour owned by Akpan where the lover was drinking. He said that Onobong stabbed Akpan with a knife on the face while the latter stabbed Onobong on the head. Momoh noted that the alleged offences contravened Sections 83, 249 and 355 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State. The case was adjourned till Oct. 26 for further hearing.
