The Joint Task Force set up to quell the Boko Haram menace rocking the Northern part of the country, in the early hours of yesterday, launched a successful operation on the sects operational stronghold in Damaturu, Yobe state, killing 59 of the sect members and destroying their armoury, Chief of army staff, Lt. General Azubuike Ihejirika said Friday.
Speaking during his first official visit to the Guards Brigade headquarters in Abuja, the Army Chief said, “There was a major encounter with the Boko Haram in Damaturu yesterday. In the encounter, we over ran their major stronghold and their ammunition site”.
And as is usual in any such encounter, we lost 3 of our soldiers, 7 were wounded but we killed over 50 of their members. They came with sophisticated and heavy weaponry including GPMG’s, SMG’s and bombs but our trained soldiers subdued them”.
Their (BOKO HARAM's) END has just began

hmmm was that the best option? why not disarm them and get them arrested I hope this boasting wont get the others enraged to carry out more attacks elsewhere

So which one come be the best option naa?,,Arrest uh?....How many times have we done that and it still doesnt make any difference...this is suppose to be operation fire for fire .....This is the best option ever at least the Army have killed some and will still kill more until they are finished!

you can still go and disarm them yourself........

well, we all know that it was the killing of their leader a couple of yrs back that lead to all these violence everywhere i just hope this action doesnt increase the violence or even extend it to other areas
