The Governor made the call yesterday during a sympathy visit to the leadership of the St Theresa’s Catholic Church that was attacked on Christmas day by a suicide bomber in Madalla, near Abuja.
He said that the activities of the sect had engaged the country in war, adding that it was time for the federal government to act decisively in ending the onslaught of the Boko Haram on innocent people.
Aliyu sympathised with the families of those that died from the blast, saying government would set up a committee to take census of the affected persons as well as assess the level of damage with a view of compensating them.
Responding, the Parish Priest of the Church, Rev. Father Isaac Achi said 22 of his church members were confirmed dead while several others were still missing.
Achi described the day as the black Christmas day in the history of the Church, adding that more members were still being rushed to hospital for treatment.
