America is not the problem with Nigeria. The problem is, like with all governments, are the greedy people who want to take everything for themselves.  Nigeria has had problems long before America has been involved.  You cannot judge a whole country by the actions of a few.  Most Americans think just like this--one- sided.  Nigeria, like America has its own set of issues.  I have traveled to Nigeria many times and to be honest the only difference I see is that the corruption in Nigeria is present just like in America.  The only difference is it is more open in Nigeria than America.

I say this because it is true. I love Nigeria and its people.  I say this because I am a Nigerian now, I am also married to a Naija Yoruba man.  My family fought me tooth and nail, but it did not matter.  I had to overcome the stereotypes and misinformed negative thinking, in order to have my joy in the sun.  I am all the happier for standing up for what I believe in--my fellow brothers and sisters of Africa. You all are just like us, trying to make an honest living from day to day, wanting the best for you and your families.  It is hard to believe that those who have so much continue to want more than what they need.
