The State Security Service (SSS) today paraded eight persons suspected to have been involved in the kidnap and eventual murder of two expatriate staff of Stabilini Visinoni Construction Company, Mr. Christopher Mcmanus, a Briton and Franco Lamolinara, an Italian.
The expatriates were kidnapped in Birnin Kebbi and then moved to Sokoto by a splinter group of Boko
Haram led by one Abu Mohammed.
Meanwhile police source said the brain behind the kidnapping of the Europeans have died in custody due to
wounds sustained during the failed rescue attempt by the UK and Nigerian special forces.
Parading the suspects in Abuja, Mr. Doyin Adetuberu who represented the spokesperson of the service, Marilyn Ogar, commiserated with the families of the murdered expatriates and stressed that the long arm of the law will catch up with all terrorists and perpetrators of evil.
He appealed to Nigerians to remain sensitive to their environment and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
Mr. Christopher Mcmanus and Franco Lamolinara were murdered in Sokoto on the 8th of March, 2012 by persons suspected to be members of the Islamic sect, Boko haram after being held captive for over 10 months.
