In good and bad times, sex sells. If you want to make money working as a porn star, consider introducing yourself to adult studios and talent agencies. They provide regular people with the opportunity to jump into the adult industry and become a professional performer.

7  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Should You Take Your Ex Back? on: 26-11-2010 02:27 PM
Although breakups are sometimes mutual, there are two primary reasons why relationships fall apart: either you go or she goes.

If you decide to leave, you're in the driver's seat -- you have very specific reasons why you want to get out of this thing and move on with your life, and it's doubtful that you'd ever consider taking her back.

But if she decides to bolt, it's a totally different story. She can leave you a bewildered emotional wreck, crying in your beer and wondering just what the hell happened.

This kind of devastation can overpower your normally logical thought process. That's why if your ex-girlfriend contacts you and says she's willing to give you a second chance, odds are you're going to jump right back into the frying pan without thinking.

13  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / How do you stop corruption and abuse of power so rampant in politically immature on: 26-11-2010 12:33 PM
The best way to control abuse of of power over time, interestingly, is the mortality of man. While it is very human to need to have something to look forward to, individually the end for each of us will be death.

While that preamble may have sounded a bit morbid, the concept of maturity really depends on our ability to see beyond our own mortality, and beyond our own pleasure, to see the beauty of the future that we build for others. Inversely, the abuse of power is the inability to see beyond our needs to satisfy the needs of the masses; to see beyond our own needs and insecurities to help others.

"Power corrupts. And absolute power corrupts absolutely"
What can be done for the majority to deal with abuses of power?
How would the people take power back from corrupt leaders?
Assuming that the population is educated and mature, which is a big assumption, courage is required to face those in power.

Stand up and say NO. Just like a spoiled child, or an abusive husband, the enabler is really the abused. Don't take it lying down! Teach everyone you know that there's a certain truth in freedom and democracy, and stand up for your rights!

"In 2006, exports of oil and minerals from Africa were worth roughly $249 billion, nearly six times the value of international aid. If used properly, this huge transfer of wealth could be one of the best chances in a generation to lift many of the world's poorest and most dispossessed citizens out of poverty. Yet in many resource-rich countries corruption in the natural resource sector has led directly to conflict, human rights abuses and a worsening of inequality and poverty".

16  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Osun Election Petition: Gov. Oyinlola, Sen. Omisore Deploy N15 Billion Bribe For on: 25-11-2010 07:44 PM
A massive bribery scheme to stall and thwart the cause of justice at the court of appeal sitting in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital over the governorship election petition dispute in Osun state has already been perfected and a whooping sum of N15 billion deployed in three installments last week to bribe three members of the five man panel of the appeal court judges.

iReports-ng.com can authoritatively report that the executioner of the bribery scheme is an appeal court judge, Justice Jimi Olukayode Bada who hails from Ile-Ife, Osun state and works at the Abuja division of the appeal court. The sponsors of the scheme are none other than the Osun state governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and his prospective successor, Senator Iyiola Christopher Omisore.

According to investigations by iReports-ng.com, the bribery scheme was arrived at and perfected at a meeting attended by about nine persons in a secret location in Ile-Ife about three weeks ago. Some of those who attended the meeting include Governor Oyinlola, Senator Omisore, Justice Bada, South west national vice chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Tajudeen Oladipo and a former Chief Judge of Oyo and Osun states, retired Justice Adedotun Sijuwade.

At the meeting, Justice Bada of the Appeal court in Abuja was said to have been assigned the responsibility of reaching out to two of his colleagues who are members of the panel hearing the appeal petition of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN governorship candidate in the 2007 election in Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola against the incumbent Governor Oyinlola of the PDP.

The two members being targeted are Justice Garuba Mohammed Lawal and Justice Paul Galinge. The two judges were drafted into the Osun petition panel from the Abuja division of the appeal court where Justice Bada also works. While Justice Sijuwade was said to have provided guidance for the scheme as an old hand in the business, Omisore who is desperate to clinch the governorship seat of the state after Oyinlola is to liaise with Justice Bada in Abuja to ensure the smooth run of the scheme. On his part, Oyinlola who is fighting hard to complete his last four year tenure next May is to work hand in hand with Omisore to provide the princely sum of N15 billion to execute the scheme.

After the meeting, the PDP leader in the south west, Oladipo was said to have briefed the Ogun state governor, Gbenga Daniel who in turn sold a dummy to divert attention from the scheme by sponsoring a cover page story in his newspaper, Compass on Saturday, containing alleged moves by rival ACN to buy judgment from the appeal court panel. They also tried, albeit ignorantly to discredit the President of the court of appeal, Ayo Salami as well as two other members of the panel who they fear may not fall for their own scheme.

Unknown to all the actors in the bribery scheme, security agents were on their trail and had penetrated their Ile-Ife meeting, and worked on the details of the meeting. Efforts to trace the movement of the N15 billion packaged in dollars and deployed in three tranches led to the bugging of two of Justice Bada’s three GSM lines. Two of the Judge’s lines on which his conversations have been taped on the issue are: 08034073301 and 08057593476.

According to an interim security report, the bribery team was yet to get a third member of the appeal panel that will eventually give them a favourable majority judgment since they will need three members of the five member panel to achieve their sinister motive.
17  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Appeal Court Delivers Ruling Friday Over 2007 Osun Guber Polls on: 25-11-2010 07:39 PM
Osun state governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN governorship candidate in the 2007 governorship election in the living spring state, Engr Rauf Aregbesola will tomorrow, Friday, know their fate over who between them is the rightful winner of the polls as the appeal court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo state is set to deliver its ruling on the appeal filed by Aregbesola.

After taking the written addresses of counsel to both parties in the case last month, the five member appeal court panel adjourned indefinitely for its ruling. But a source close to Oyinlola told iReports-ng a few minutes ago that the court had notified all parties that the ruling will be delivered tomorrow.

“As I speak with you nobody knows what can happen and that is why security has been beefed up in the state suddenly today. The governor himself is confused because of different signals coming from various quarters over the matter”, the source disclosed.

iReports-ng had recently exposed a massive bribery scheme designed by Oyinlola, Senator Iyiola Omisore and some others to bribe the appeal court judges with over N15 billion.
18  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Christ Embassy Pastor, Chris Oyakhilome In $35million Money Laundering Scam on: 25-11-2010 07:37 PM

Any moment from now, flamboyant miracle fixing pastor of Christ Embassy Church located in Oregun, Ikeja area of Lagos state, Chris Oyakhilome will be a guest of Nigeria’s anti-graft police, EFCC for using his church to launder funds which source could not be accounted for into foreign bank accounts. The illicit funds so far traced by security agents stand at over $35 million.

The latest scandal may once again bring the controversial miracle-worker pastor under public scrutiny after government suspended the broadcast of his suspicious healing programme tagged “atmosphere for miracles” on public television stations some years ago.

iReports-ng can authoritatively report that a document on the money laundering activities of the architect turned pastor was first passed to the Nigeria police force headquarters in Abuja, last year. After finding it difficult to unravel the fraud, the police forwarded the matter to the EFCC which has the expertise and powers to successfully prosecute the pastor.

According to a source at the force headquarters in Abuja, the case was sent to the EFCC and received there September 24th 2009. Another source in the EFCC also confirmed that attempts were made by some of the controversial pastor’s agents in the commission to “kill” the petition due to the electronic system of monitoring cases already put in place in the agency, called “gocase” by the United Nations Office On Drug and Crime, UNODC.

A reliable source in the agency told iReports-ng a few hours ago that ” after the initial hiccup, substantial progress has now been made on the case even though quietly and the coast now clear to invite the pastor to make some statements on his involvement in cash transfer of such huge amount of United States currency”

Apart from this discovery of money laundering activity by the pastor, a couple of his church officials and members have also of recent featured in some major fraud issues. Not quite long a time, one of his pastors in Ogba area of Lagos was said to have stolen some millions of naira from the sheraton hotels ikeja where he worked as a manager before he was sacked when the fraud was discovered. He claimed in his statement to the police then that he donated the stolen money to Oyakhilome’s Christ embassy church to buy power generating sets and other church needs.

Also of recent, a young member of the church in Benin city, Edo state was arrested and prosecuted by the EFCC for engaging in internet marriage scam through which he defrauded a white lady. In his statement before he was convicted, he was said to have also confessed that he donated the bulk of the scam money to Oyakhilome’s church where he belongs as a strong member.

Before the discovery of the pastor’s money laundering activity, Oyakhilome had been enmeshed in other major scandals such as immoral segxwal engagements with church members, fighting other religious leaders, use of diabolic powers and faking miracles.

In 2008, south africa media were awash with stories of fake miracles stage managed by the pastor in a bid to woo worshipers to join his church.

*Watch out for updates on the money laundering case against Oyakhilome.
