Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Nigeria to commence Islamic banking soon – Sanusi (Page 6) |
on: 7-02-2011 09:01 AM
| I have heard a little bit of it and briefly discussed with some colleagues from other countries, one is a Malaysian in one of Business Conference in Allianz-Arena, Munich, Germany. He briefed me what Islamic banking is, the future, and the difference with the conventional banking.
Well, Business Admin and Accountancy students, go in for such training now. THE CORE OF IT IS IT IS "INTEREST FREE" to 'true businessmen' with bankable business plan and Feasibility Studies. As I heard (subject to be proved), most of the islamic nations with such core banking system did not experience the world's financial crises.
I am not an expert at all, but the little knowledge that I got from the Malaysian colleague.

| IT IS SAD! IT IS PAINFUL!! IT IS FEARFUL!!!
NIGERIA IS A COMPLETELY CURSED NATION.
JUST LOOK AT HOW PEOPLE DIE LIKE RATS BECAUSE OF BAD ROADS.
IT IS EITHER KIDNAPPERS; ARMED ROBBERS; THIEVES; WITCHCRAFT; ETC.
What is the essence of one going to that country, called Nigeria?
LET US DIVIDE THIS ENTITY CALLED NIGERIA INTO SIX NATIONS. WHICHEVER ETHNIC GROUP THAT FAILS TO ADDRESS THEIR SOCIO-INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES SHOULD KNOW WHO TO HOLD RESPONSIBLE. As it is now, one can forget it. No hope than to end the whole 'God dey'! Will God coe from heaven to do the jobs for us? No! We must do it ourselves.

Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Men are always called bad names no matter what... |
on: 3-02-2011 12:40 AM
| In the Nigerian Society these days, our ladies have become very notorious when it comes to the way they treat our men monetarily. If a man spends on the lady, He is called a MUGU, MAGA, MAGALICIOUS... If he doesn't spend, He is called STINGY, POOR, Below the girl's standard. Women can never appreciate men in Nigeria no matter what...
TRUTH IS BETTER. Whoever has a good argument why it is so, should say it here, may be, we learn. This is not insult on Nigerian women, but an issue that need to be addressed, if it can still be possible. I don't think so. It's already in their blood and bone fabric and marrow. NO MEKWATARISM!!.

| The woman dey stubborn self, the landlord don warn her make she no enter. Wishing her quick recovery.
Stupid talk! The landlord has no right to prevent her from entering her house. If he so wish to ban them, he should seek a magistrate written order. Thanks man. This guy is the true sign of 'Nigeria no good'. He is unbelievable. No reasonable human being can talk this way, seeing a helpless woman on the pool of her own blood, caused by a HUNGRY LANDLORD. Who knows the type of house that costs just N2000 a month.

Ur utterances and photo emboldens extreme arrogance, dead morals and tribalistic tendencies. Which law permits one to commit Offences Against Persons occasioning serious grievously bodily harm? Jail and payment of the hospital bills, which may include the family's upkeep is awaiting the illitrate landlord who because of 4,000 naira abuse a woman. This is added offence. Battering a housewife. It also seems the people at the police are unfair with their charges against hungry landlord.

Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: At what age should a man or a woman get married? |
on: 22-01-2011 01:53 AM
| A woman or man who has reached any of you people's self(society's induced age bracket and has not find the person, what should the person do?
1. Grab any adult on the street and insist on marriage?
2. Just settle down with anyone, even if his or her happiness for life is at stake?
3. Become desperate and miss the sense of natural reasoning, or WHAT?
I think many factors are at stake here. Whoever finds a good wife or husband, findeth a good thing.
BAD MARRIAGE - SHORT LIFE SPAN which can lead to misplaced aggression.
HAPPY MARRIAGE - LONG LIFE SPAN FULL OF FULFILLMENT In all, when no accidental discharge occurs that can end or maim life.

on: 22-01-2011 01:26 AM
| Good Morning! Saturday January 22, 11
Ojukwu leaves intensive care From Geoffrey Anyanwu, Awka and VAL OKARA, Owerri
Friday, January 21, 2011
...Returns home soon, say Obi, Uwazuruike
Ojukwu
Tension over the state of health of the first Nigerian graduate soldier and ex-Biafran warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu was yesterday doused by Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State who said the Ikemba Nnewi was doing very well at a United Kingdom hospital.
Obi, who just returned to the state from the UK told newsmen at the Government House, Awka, that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) national leader was increasingly recovering from the ailment that took him to the UK hospital.
Ojukwu, who was down with stroke was flown to the UK for treatment but both the governor and his (Ojukwu) close associates had refused to disclose the hospital he was in to avoid too many visitors.
Answering questions from newsmen, Obi said, “I was with him and I’m impressed with his response to treatment. He was far better than the last time we saw him. And he will be back to Anambra as soon as his doctors want him to do so.”
In the same vein, the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has declared that Biafran warlord, Odimegwu Ojukwu who had been receiving treatment in a London hospital may soon return to the country. Uwazuruike, yesterday, in his country home, Okwe, in Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State told journalists that Ojukwu had been discharged from the intensive care unit of the hospital few days ago.
He said, “ I am happy to inform you that we are expecting our great leader very soon and for more than a week now he (Ojukwu) has been out of the intensive care unit of the hospital. He is now a normal person living his normal life.
“I spoke to him few days ago after talking to his wife, Bianca. We are happy that he has recovered. He is just recuperating. God loves the Igboman and God knows that this son of ours is very important to us. We prayed for him and God answered our prayers. Ojukwu is our hero. He is our father; we will continue to support him,” he stated.
In addition, Uwazuruike denied rumours making the rounds in Imo State that MASSOB was supporting a particular governorship candidate in the state. He said the group was apolitical and its members did not belong to any registered political party in the country. He said, “I am a Biafran and every member of MASSOB is a Biafran. We don’t participate in Nigerian politics and how can we support a Nigerian political party?”
