1  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / EDO MAN ARRESTED FOR HAVING SEX WITH A DOG on: 14-08-2014 10:27 AM
The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 19-year-old boy in Iguosa community, Ovia North East Local Government Area, for allegedly having sex with a dog.

The young man, identified simply as Osagiator, was said to have taken the dog to an uncompleted building where he had sex with it.

It was learnt that earlier, the residents had gathered at the palace of the head of Iguosa community when the news of the incident spread within the length and breadth of the area.

A resident in the community, George Ogbonmwan, while narrating how the teenager was caught, said he had saw the suspect with the dog and had thought that he wanted to steal it.

He added that he decided to call the attention of the owner, Garuba Samari.

Ogbonmwan said when he and the owner of the dog traced Osagiator to the uncompleted building; they were surprised to see the suspect having segxwal intercourse with the dog.

“When I saw the way the young man carried the dog like a baby, I decided to tell the owner. We went to the uncompleted building and caught the boy sleeping with the dog,” he said.

However, the suspect, who claimed that he resided in Uselu in Benin, said he was a regular visitor to Iguosa community, where he sought menial jobs.

He explained that he did not know what came over him.

He claimed that the dog followed him as he walked along a street in the community. He added that he took the animal to the uncompleted building, but did not know what made him to have segxwal intercourse with it.

He said, “I was walking along the street. I saw a dog following me and I carried it like a baby. I just went into the uncompleted building where I did what I did to it. I don’t know what came over me.”

Samari, who quickly disowned his pet, insisted that the boy should be handed over to the police to decide what to do with him.

“The dog has to follow him. I have nothing to do with the dog again,” Samari added.

The Odionwere of the community, Pa Clifford Igiehon, and the scribe, Festus Obadiaru, described the act as an abomination. They added that the suspect had been handed over to the police.

Igiehon said, “It is an abomination against the community. The young man came from Uselu community in Benin City. I don’t know why he decided to commit the act here in the community. We don’t want to see him here again.”

The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Noble Uwoh, said the suspect had been arrested and taken to the state police headquarters for further investigation.

He added that the dog had since been killed by the community.

“The boy has been arrested and transferred to the state headquarters for further investigation. The community killed the dog because the people said that it was an abomination,” Uwoh said.

SOLDIERS of the 4 Brigade/Sector 1 Joint Task Force, codenamed “Operation Pulo Shield,” on Thursday, announced the smashing of an armed robbery gang, whose membership were policemen serving in the Nigeria Police.
Briefing journalists on behalf of the Commander 4 Brigade/Sector 1 Joint Task Force Operation, Benin City, Brigadier-General Pat Akem, Army Public Relations Officer, Captain Roselyn Managbe, said troops under the command also arrested a suspected kidnap kingpin, Joel Ogbu, a.k.a Avenue, who facilitated the arrest of other members of his gang.
Managbe said: “On June 26, troop of 222 Battalion, on patrol at Orhoror Junction on the Bomadi Road, in Delta State, around 2.00 a.m, arrested a suspected armed robber, who claimed to be a police inspector attached to ‘A’ Department of the Nigeria Police, Bayelsa State Command. He was caught blocking the road with woods, while other members of his gang, who were armed, took cover in the bush along the road. When he sighted the Nigerian Army Quick Response Group driving towards them, the inspector tried to withdraw into the bush, but was caught, while other members of his gang escaped.
“In his confessional statement, the suspect revealed that members of his gang were all serving police personnel, who indulge in robbery activities after their normal duties. The suspect also confessed that an Assistant Superintendent of Police (name withheld) and an Inspector of ‘B’ Department of the Nigeria Police Force, Bayelsa State Command, are members of his gang.”
Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, the arrested inspector, however, said he was arrested on his first outing as an armed robber.
“It happened that they were robbing people and I decided to join them. I was not in uniform, but others were in uniform,” he said.
Also paraded among the suspected criminals was a Lance Corporal, who was dismissed from the Army.
Some of the items recovered from the suspected criminals included an axe, locally-made double-barrelled guns and handsets.

True Confession: I caught my uncle’s wife having sex with gateman in her husband’s bedroom
My purpose of writing is to get people’s opinion on what to do.
I arrived Lagos about three months ago to stay with my uncle and his wife, who’s an Ibo woman. By the way my uncle is from Edo State and their marriage is about four years without kids. In the last week of August my bros travelled to the North on official business and something happened in his bedroom.
I came back that day because I could not meet up a job appointment in Igando area due to heavy traffic. I was reluctant to return home since I had just left but I couldn’t think of a better place to go so I headed home. On getting to our compound, I didn’t find the gate man at his post and I was even angry because of the security risk of him leaving the gate open like that.
But something got me worried when I saw the gate man’s sandals right inside our sitting room. I just told myself that something is going on between my uncle’s wife and this dirty boy. I was right, when I moved close to the window of my uncle’s bedroom I started hearing screams of segxwal pleasure from his wife. I tried to peep into the room but it was difficult because of the protector.
So, I summoned courage and walk to the door as if I wanted to tell my uncle’s wife that I was back. I opened the door and caught the adulterous woman red-handed under the dirty gate man (boy). Sadly, the gate man was already ejaculating so he couldn’t get up immediately, it took him few seconds to jump off and grab his clothes.
I simply walked away and returned to the sitting room, pretending to be watching a programme on the TV. Few minutes later my uncle’s wife joined me and started begging that it would not happen again. I didn’t say a word but when she kept pressing I said ok I’ve heard. Later she brought food for me but I refused it and since then she has been putting pressure on me.
The unfortunate thing is now she even wants me to sleep with her as an assurance that I wont tell my uncle, always coming to my room half naked. Because of this I’ve not eating in the house in the last one week, I’m almost going broke already.
My uncle may be back next week. I will like people with more experience to tell me what to do when he comes back. Should I tell my uncle the kind of wife he married or quietly move out?

CALABAR – A group of displaced Bakassi youths has threatened to form its own nation following alleged abandonment by the Federal Government and the ceding of their ancestral land to the Republic of Cameroon.

A militant group in the area, Bakassi Self Determination Front, has, meanwhile, hoisted its Blue-White-Red liberation flag dotted with stars at Dayspring, which was supposed to be the resettlement camp for the displaced and has set up a radio station.

The station, which allegedly started test-transmission on August 6, 2012, at 12p.m., operates on 4.2 MHz and 5.2MHz Short Wave band in both Efik and English languages, disseminates information on activities in the ceded Peninsula.

The Bakassi Self Determination Front had, four days ago, issued a two- week ultimatum to its people living in the ceded territory to vacate or be crushed. It also warned against movement on the sea on Saturday August 11 and Sunday 12, 2012.

It was alleged that the group had in a text message to the member representing Bakassi/Calabar South/Akpabuyo constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr Essien Ayi, said: “This is your constituency, there shall be no movement of boats from Ikang beach or Marina beach to Cameroon on August 11 and 12, 2012.

“Announce to your constituents, major takeover events will occur that will take the world by surprise for those who dance for the society must learn to know when the drumming demands a new dance.

“Those who come from Usakedet by bush track to Akwa and Archibong town must not move on those days. God will definitely be on the throne on these days. We hope you will save your people.”

The group claimed that a Cameroon radio monitored in Yoande said the military high command of the country was watching the unfolding events in Bakassi and will respond to it appropriately.

The entire Festival Town, commonly called FESTAC in Lagos was thrown into pandemonium on Thursday evening as a decomposing body of a man was discovered inside a duplex on B Close, House 6 of 3rd Avenue. The decomposing body, it was gathered, was that of the younger sibling of two brothers allegedly living together in the duplex which was left for them by their deceased parents.

The corpse was identified as that of Akinbuyi Ajayi,  39, living in the same apartment with Toye Ajayi and Omotola Ajayi, who were identified as his brothers.  He was allegedly killed by his brothers and his body kept in a room inside the flat. The corpse had been mutilated by the two brothers. A police source alleged that Toye and Omotola were selling the body parts of their brother for money, adding that the two were caught with some human parts which eventually led to a search on their apartment by law enforcement personnel.

Toye and Omotola  were suspected to have chopped off the head, hands, private part and part of the two legs of Akinbuyi  and allegedly sold them to suspected ritualists. The decomposing body of Akinbuyi was moved by the policemen attached to FESTAC Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Mohammed Mu’azu, a Chief Superintendent of Police and officials of Amuwo Odofin Local Government council to a morgue, while the police took other items recovered from the house into custody.

Residents of FESTAC came out in their large numbers to watch the horrifying spectacle as the council officials and policemen removed the body. Apart from the body that was recovered from the house, charms, amulets, a pot filled with human blood and two large dummies of human beings were discovered.  Some of the charms and amulets were concealed inside a carton with the inscription: Lord Krishna Agabarthi 999.

Omotola, who claimed to be an engineer denied knowing anything about the corpse. He claimed to be jobless, adding that he depended on goodwill of people to survive along with Toye. He denied knowledge of the death of his brother. He explained that Akinbuyi was arrested recently by sanitation task force, adding that the deceased spent three days in prison.

Omotola also said Akinbuyi was born in 1973 and that he usually went out and came in at will. He told the police that his brother’s killers must have committed the act before dumping the deceased inside one of the rooms. He further said  their father died in a motor accident recently. Their father, he claimed, was the owner of the duplex where they live. Akinbuyi’s corpse was dumped in one of the rooms upstairs.

Toye described himself as a primary school teacher. When the police asked him where he teaches, he could not utter a word.

ARTICLE | MAY 19, 2012 - 5:16PM | BY PATIENCE OGBO

Asiribo Baba, a 40-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly shooting a bricklayer who attempted to rape his daughter.

A police officer, Femi Martins, said that Baba shot Ifeanyi Arinze, 29, who was making blocks at a building site in Agbara, Lagos. According to him, Arinze climbed the fence of Baba’s residence in Agbara to pluck oranges in the compound when he saw Baba’s 14-year-old daughter, who was sleeping outside.

"After he plucked the oranges, he went to the girl, who slept on the mat, and touched her Bosom  but the girl screamed," he said. "Arinze covered the girl’s mouth with his hand but her younger sister, who had been playing outside, came and called people."

He said Baba, who had been listening to the screaming of her daughter, came out with a gun, ran after Arinze and shot him in the leg when he was about to jump the fence.

He said other workers at the building site reported the case immediately to the police while Arinze was taken to the hospital.

Nura Mustapha is in police custody after he was allegedly caught having sex with a dead lady friend in a hotel room
ARTICLE | MARCH 21, 2012 - 12:13AM | BY PATIENCE OGBO

Nura Mustapha, 28, is currently explaining to homicide detectives at the State Criminal Investigative Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos State, why he was allegedly caught having sex with the corpse of a lady identified as Faith Akin.
Mustapha was arrested early in March after an attendant at the Green Star Hotel, Alaba-Rago, raised an alarm that he would not allow the corpse to be retrieved.
Police officers identified the corpse of the lady as Faith Akin, a resident of Ondo State, who visited her mother in Lagos.
“We have a lot of customers coming with different girls to the hotel but on that fateful day, Mustapha came in about 5.00 pm and booked the room; after about 9.00pm, he brought in this lady and they stayed the night,” said the hotel attendant, who gave his name as Mathew. “Early the next day, before I would hand over to the morning staff, I went round to check the rooms; [and] that was how I saw the lady lying down. I went to touch her but there was no response; I called out to Nura but he did not answer. It was when I came back the second time after I had informed the manager that I saw the customer having sex with the corpse again; I tried to call his attention but he did not respond, so I went to call the police.”
When officers from the Ojo Police Station arrived the scene, it was gathered that the suspect was seen having sex with the unconscious lady. “As soon as we got the complaint from the  hotel management, we rushed to the scene of the incident; unfortunately, we experienced the shock of our lives when we saw Nura on top of the lifeless lady still banging (having sex with) her,” said a police officer who did not want his name published.
“We had to drag him from the lady's corpse before he realised that people had been watching him. It was a terrible thing for such a young man to sleep with a corpse; maybe for ritual purpose but we do not know.”
During questioning, Mustapha allegedly told the police officers that he had taken a sex enhancement drug before inviting the deceased to his hotel room.
“He said he used a local Hausa herb, called ‘burutashe’ to enhance his segxwal performance before he had sex with the lady,” said the police source. “The corpse had foam coming out from her mouth; and despite that he kept banging her because the drug made him to have delayed ********. So to satisfy himself, he kept banging the lady; even when he discovered that she was dead, so as to relieve himself.”
The corpse has been deposited at a mortuary and police authorities are hoping that autopsy results will reveal the exact cause of Akin’s death.
The Tiv Yam market in Alaba-Rango is predominantly populated by Hausas and it was gathered that commercial sex workers often congregate there at night to solicit for customers.

The police in Lagos State have arrested three policemen in connection with the dastardly killing of two  men , who have been identified as drivers in a Lagos-based company.
The state Commissioner of Police, Yakubu Alkali, had directed the homicide section of the state  Criminal Investigations Department to thoroughly investigate the death of the company drivers
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the policemen, who are from Igando police station, had earlier labelled the deceased drivers “armed robbers “but later claimed that they were killed by armed robbers.

Boko Haram changes tactics
Now targets primary, secondary schools
•To begin kidnap of wives, children of govt functionaries
From Our reporter
Friday January 27, 2012

The Islamic sect, Boko Haram, has threatened to adopt a change of tactics in a message posted on YouTube yesterday. The sect also restated that it was behind last week’s attacks in Kano saying bombings and shootings were to avenge the torture of its members.

“We were responsible,” a voice identified as that of suspected Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau says in audio played over a picture of him. “I ordered it and I will give that order again and again. God gave us victory.”

A spokesman for the group had earlier claimed responsibility for
coordinated bombings and shootings on January 20 in Kano which left at least 185 people dead. Police stations were the main targets.
Shekau said in the message that “we attacked the security formations because our members were arrested and tortured. Our women and children have also been arrested.” He then issued another threat: “They should know that they also have wives and children. We can also abduct them. It is not beyond our powers.
“Soldiers raided an Islamic seminary in Maiduguri and desecrated the Quran.

They should bear in mind that they also have primary and secondary schools and universities, and we can also attack them.”
The Boko Haram leader also accused the authorities of killing civilians in Friday’s violence.
“After we finished our war, policemen stuck around and started killing civilians and later blamed us,” he said. “We are not fighting civilians, but security forces. We only kill soldiers, policemen and their collaborators.”

The Kano attacks were the worst yet attributed to Boko Haram and occurred in a city that serves as the economic heart of the North. Another police station was attacked in Kano on Tuesday night, while an explosion also went off in the city on yesterday. A German engineer was also kidnapped on the outskirts of Kano yesterday. A video posted on YouTube earlier this month was also said to be of Shekau.

In the video, the man said to be Shekau issued a message to President Goodluck Jonathan and threatened further violence.
The appearance of the man in the video appeared significantly different than earlier images said to be of the Boko Haram chief, but a Western diplomat said “we assessed it was Shekau.”

15  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / BOKO HARAM- SOME NORTHERN GOVERNORS AND TOP POLITICIANS FLEE NIGERIA on: 17-01-2012 02:30 PM
Written by Taiwo Adisa, Abuja
Sunday, January 15, 2012

A serving governor and some topNorthern politicians are now living under the fear of arrest as security operatives close in on suspected sponsors of Boko Haram.Saturday Tribune gathered that the reports of security agencies consistently linked some prominent figures to the activities of the dreaded group, which had claimed responsibility for a number of bombings in the country lately.
Sources said President Goodluck Jonathan had given a nod for the said leaders to be interrogated, while a security council had been set up to quiz the governor.
It was learnt that upon hints that the agencies had received the green light to prosecute the suspected sponsors of Boko Haram, many of the top politicians are making plans to flee the country, even in the heat of the fuel subsidy removal-induced strike

The government was also said to be probing some suspicious movements across the Nigerian borders in the North with information indicating that some specific targets of the operation burst Boko Haram had fled the country.
A source said the governor, believed to have links with the group, had got wind of his impending interrogation by operatives, but that the government was being careful not to tamper with his immunity as provided in the 1999 Constitution.
"As a result of the immunity he enjoys, he cannot be directly arrested. But all the details are being assembled and a security committee has been constituted to confront him with such details. Once the evidence is confirmed as incontrovertible, further steps can then be taken to ensure prosecution in line with treason and such charges," the source said.
It was learnt that the governor had fled to Niger Republic and that some other suspected top politicians are either on their way to Niger or Chad republic.
"The government has decided to bring sanity to this whole issue of insecurity. Some security agencies, who have been on the trail of those concerned in recent times, have reports indicting a number of persons, including government officials.
Other prominent figures, who are linked with the group, are believed to be heading towards Northern borders," another source said.
It was also gathered that the acclaimed leader of the sect, Abubakar Skekau, had fled the country to Niger, following intense moves to burst him in recent weeks.
It was understood that his outbursts during the week on a cable television, were made from a hideout from that country.
The source stated, "There is an operation aimed at clamping down on the Boko Haram leadership. Security operatives almost burst the leader, Abubakar Shekau and he immediately fled Nigeria. He is believed to be in Niger Republic now where he is coordinating activities of the group. The operatives will not relent in their bid to track him down."

by Chukwudi Akasike, Port Harcourt

A group known as the Biafra Liberation Council has given northerners and Muslims in the southern part of country a seven-day ultimatum to leave the area or be ready to be victims of reprisals.
The group, in a statement on Sunday, also called on Igbo in the northern part of the country to vacate the area and relocate to any place outside the North.
The statement by the spokesman for the group, Amaechi Nwaofia, expressed the group’s sadness over the killing of Igbo in some parts of the North by Muslim fundamentalists despite the assurance by the Federal Government to protect non-Moslems and southerners in the region.
It noted that rather than encouraging the southerners to leave the northern part of the country, the government, which had been protecting the Muslims from reprisals, deceived the southerners to continue to stay in the North.

The group recalled that the National Security Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, General Owoye Azazi, had urged southerners residing in the North to disregard the warning by members of the Boko Haram sect to leave the North.

It noted that between January 4 to January 7, 2012, over 50 southerners had been killed in different parts of the North by Moslem fundamentalists.

But upon getting there and while I was addressing the crowd, one of the angry youths took a big stone and hit my chest leaving me sprawling. He attacked me despite the fact that I was in uniform.
“Even while being rushed to the hospital, I managed to prevail on my men not to open fire in order not to compound the security situation.
“I have recovered after treatment at the hospital. The governor has imposed a 24-hour curfew because Christians said they are going to retaliate.
“The 24-hour curfew is subject to review by the governor depending on the security situation in the state.”
At a nearby beauty salon, at least three others were killed in a similar attack.
"Three gunmen with their faces covered with black cloth burst into my salon and started shooting at customers, chanting, 'God is great, God is great,'" said Stephen Tizhe, 35.
The violence comes ahead of a planned gubernatorial election later this month.
Also on Friday night, gunmen set two banks ablaze with petrol bombs in Potiskum, Yobe State, starting a gunfight with police that lasted three hours, the police commissioner Tanko Lawan said. At least two people were killed in the fight, he said.
Similarly, sect gunmen yesterday shot and killed two Christian students of the University of Maiduguri, the police commissioner Simeon Midenda said.
No arrests have been made in any of the attacks, authorities said.
In a statement Friday a Boko Haram spokesman using the nom de guerre Abul-Qaqa claimed responsibility for the attacks in Gombe and Mubi.
"We want to prove to the federal government of Nigeria that we can always change our tactics," the spokesman said.

A 30-year-old man, Garba Mohammed, was yesterday remanded in prison for the murder of a day old baby, by a Minna Chief Magistrate Court in Niger state.

Garba was said to have buried the child of his daughter, Hauwa Garba, on the grounds that she had the baby out of wedlock with no one claiming responsibility.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed before the court, 30-year-old Garba committed the offence, which is contrary to section 235 of the Penal Code, on October 18, 2011.

Garba, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges, insisting that the baby was already dead before it was buried.

The case was adjourned to  December 7, as the prosecutor, Esther Philip, requested the court not to grant bail to the accused until proper investigations have been carried out.

Three Police Officers Arrested Over Killing

From Willie Etim, Yenagoa

JUDGMENT might soon come to the family of Emmanuel Victor as the Police in Bayelsa State have admitted guilt over last week's killing of a 25-year-old man for commenting on the extortion of money from commercial motorcyclists popularly known as Okada, by police officers at a check point in Yenagoa.

The Police have arrested the three officers who took part in the murder. The men are now facing orderly room trial before a panel headed by a Chief Superintendent of Police, Mr. Boye Okubo.

In a statement, Public Relations Officer, Mr. Eguavoen Emokpae (ASP), said investigation on the murder is ongoing. He assured that outcome of the trial would be made public.

He said, "The command is disturbed by the barrage of publications concerning the death of one Emmanuel Victor in the hands of police on Sunday October 16, 2011 along the Sani Abacha Expressway, Yenagoa."

"The police do not condone indiscipline, let alone issues bordering on extra-judicial killing. The outcome of the prosecution of the offenders would be made public to show that the command has nothing to hide particularly in cases concerning abuse of human rights," he declared.
